B revived...

The other weekend, we patronized Harlem's Revival Restaurant and Bar. Considering our venture was somewhat random, there's a chance that uptowners might be sleeping on this establishment.

The carefully appointed colors and bold choices give the ambiance is cheery feel without being corny. It has an industrial vibe, a la Cirque de Soleil.

The oxymoronic spacious booths with white table cloths make this dining experience unique. You can be comfortable wearing sweats while being served as if you're at a 5-star restaurant.

As we waited for the entire party to arrive, our server sensed we were hungry and brought us a complimentary round of drinks. It was a punch, like the kind you get when you check into a hotel in the Caribbean (a melange of cranberry, orange and pineapple juice).
If only more people realized that good service goes a long way!

Last but not least, the food was on point too! This blackened catfish with seafood rice was the popular choice of the day for good reason.

The next time you're uptown, check out Revival. They also have a great space you can rent out for a small-medium party, a mixer or a larger dinner party.

Bon Apetite!
